All members of the Outdoor Mission Community Board of Directors, employees, and all paid staff of OMC must subscribe and adhere to the following tenets of faith:
- We believe that ALL people were created in the image of God, designed for fellowship with both God and people, and are for the purpose of bringing Glory to God. (Genesis 1)
- We believe Jesus’s response when asked about the greatest commandment, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matt 22:37-40)
- We believe Jesus’ statement “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
- We believe that God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (John 3:17)
- We believe that “God is Love” (1 John 4:8)
- We believe that like Jesus, quiet time in the wilderness is often where people have the opportunity to “hear” God. (Luke 4:1)
- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ. (Phil 2:2)
